Dear Joan and Rene, I wasn’t certain about your place when we drove up. We had already checked out another inn and it wasn’t what we were looking for to celebrate our 21st anniversary. Then the German theme of the Gasthaus Eichler didn’t immediately call out to me; I thought of bratwurst and sauerkraut odors in every room. What an incredible surprise we discovered in the Gasthaus Eichler! A beautiful room, beside the creek which was so attractively decorated and which somehow shut out the world so that it became our very cozy little nest. An then the food! It was absolutely the finest dining experience we have had in a long time. Coupled with the service, the food and the very pleasing ambiance mad this a most wonderful anniversary get away.
